For families

Parents stay in the picture — without becoming the teacher

FLi is built so a learner can work independently while the family still has a clear view of the plan, the next exam conversation, and where support is needed.

Will my child still get a recognised qualification?
Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level qualifications are awarded by Cambridge, not by FLi. Recognition for university or further study depends on the receiving institution and the subjects taken. FLi helps families plan towards those exams.
Is this homeschooling?
No. Homeschooling usually makes the parent the teacher. At FLi the learner works independently within a Cambridge-led structure, and parents remain partners rather than the primary instructors.
How involved do I need to be?
You should expect to support routines, a workable study space, and honest communication. You should not expect to teach the syllabus. Exact involvement varies by learner and is discussed in consultation.
Who registers the exams?
Cambridge exam entries are made through an authorised exam centre. FLi can help you plan timing and subject entries. Centre rules, fees, and identification requirements are set by Cambridge and the centre.
What about local regulations?
Education law and home-education notification differ between Namibia and South Africa. FLi does not replace official guidance. Families should confirm current requirements with the relevant education authority.
